Photographer Ben Wood is based at his studio in Bembridge on the Isle of Wight off the coast of southern England. Living on the island with its beautiful landscape and world-class sailing at Cowes both inspires and informs Ben's ever-evolving portfolio. He started his career at the age of 21 following in the footsteps of his great-grandfather who ran a portrait studio in Baker Street, London. After a few years assisting photographers such as David Bailey and Don Freeman, Ben struck out on his own. Ben is best known for his signature sepia marine work but he has diversified widely, and now has an impressive selection of work encompassing his best-selling boat bows collection, classic motor racing, horse racing, and landscapes.
