Hi Everyone,

We are in the dead of winter which is always a challenging time of year for me. While I appreciate every season and the beauty each has to offer, the lack of sun and warmth definitely takes a toll on my mood.

I try to take advantage of doing things at home that I wouldn't normally have time to do - watching the masterclass I've been curious about, picking up a fiction book (rather than my usual self-help or business book), and spending time with my girls which can be challenging between our busy schedules.

Another way I like to tackle the winter blues is to have a mini project. Nothing too involved, just small home tasks like going through paperwork, cleaning out my pantry, or giving away clothes we haven't worn in a while.  These mini-projects keep my mind busy and help me stay organized so that I don't have to worry about them mid-summer.

So if you're like me and looking for a good project to keep you from getting cabin fever keep reading as I dive into part 2 of building your ultimate wardrobe.

Stay warm and be well,

Ayellet.

HOW-TO GUIDE:

The Ultimate Wardrobe Part 2:

Last month I shared with you that the first step to building your ultimate wardrobe is to invest in high-quality basics. (If you missed this you can read it HERE on the website.).

Divide your wardrobe into two major categories: BASICS and NOVELTY/TRENDS. The basics category should be made up of high-quality, beautifully crafted, well-fitting staples.

  • Layering Tanks & Tees - in black, white, navy, and cream
  • Casual & Dressy Denim - in blue, white, and black.
  • Outerwear - including a heavyweight coat, a lightweight fall/spring jacket, and an evening jacket.
  • Black Dress -  for both daytime and special occasion.
  • Everyday Tees - in black, navy, white, and cream.
  • Dressy Black Slacks
  • Cardigans and Pullover Sweaters - in black, navy, white, and cream.
  • Button-Down Shirt - in white and black.
  • Classic Black Blazer

The Trends/Novelty category can be anything that catches your eye or evokes an emotion in you - it can be the colors, silhouettes, graphics that make you smile, or anything that gets you excited. Stay tuned for our new spring trends coming your way:

  • Kelly Green
  • Orange
  • Dresses
  • Boot cut jeans
  • Wide-leg pants

Getting dressed in the morning shouldn't feel like a chore. It should be fun and easy. It takes me very little time to get dressed. The reason for that is that I keep my closet tight, organized by category, and I have my basics covered. So start inspecting your closet now and slowly build it up.

Remember, if you invest in high-quality, well-fitting clothes, you will always look and feel good in whatever you are wearing.
